Edaku

Edaku (the site is hosted at edaku.ru) is a food blog: recipes, deep dives into ingredients, calorie and macro information, diets and healthy eating, cooking tips, and seasonal/holiday roundups.

How the blog works

Edaku is an independent personal project, not a registered media outlet or company. Posts follow a pre-planned editorial calendar, 4–6 pieces a week, published in Russian and English. The Russian and English versions are not literal translations of each other — they’re two parallel pieces on the same topic, written independently but sharing the same facts and figures.

Illustrations are either photos from Pexels (free license) or original graphic illustrations, used for more abstract topics (e.g. a diet breakdown or a calorie comparison) where a literal photo doesn’t fit as well.

On data accuracy

We aim for accurate, useful information. Calorie and nutrition figures in our articles are average reference values per 100 g or per serving; actual values depend on the specific product, variety, and cooking method. Content is informational and not a substitute for advice from a doctor or nutritionist.

Technical notes

The site is fully static (built with Hugo) — no database, no contact forms, no accounts, no advertising. For details on what data (if any) is processed when you visit, see the Privacy Policy; for cookies and localStorage, see the Cookie Policy.
